Brewers: Jenkins fractures his thumb

News
Just when we were beginning to wonder if Geoff Jenkins could make it through an entire season, the Brewers' outfielder fractured his thumb on Thursday, the Associated Press reported. Jenkins suffered the injury when sliding into home in the seventh inning, and he is likely done for the season. His thumb hit the shinguard of Reds' catcher Jason LaRue. "It's frustrating to me," said Jenkins. "This isn't the first time this has happened." Jenkins hit his 28 homer earlier in the game, the fourth straight contest in which he had hit a four-bagger. Last year Jenkins only played 67 games due to a dislocated right ankle. He has never recorded more than 135 games in a single season.

Tough break for Geoff and the surging Brew Crew. Jenkins still has to decide if he will attempt to play again this season, but we're not counting on it too much. Look for Brady Clark to play everyday

Man, I picked him up on the wire and he really helped me out especially for HRs and RBIs. I know that he had a season ending injury last year, and here we go, as he was putting up an allstar type of numbers, he can't play because of injury.
