Your bench - batters or pitchers?

Yeah, I never fill more than two of five bench spots with hitters in roto, and often only one. Unless i've got an uberversatile bill hall type available, i usually just go for an outfielder, who's the best hitter available. Chances are, i've got a berkman or dunn type somewhere in the Of who can play another position too, or you can move your util into the field.

It's a bit different for H2H as being able to get extra games on mondays and thursdays when half of mlb is off can be a big bonus.

i only have one bench bat, and thats blalock because im too attached. and hes a bad bench bat since hes only 3b and he isnt hitting. but i cant drop him =(

really ive only been benching him for a few days, since i decided to ride teahen's hot streak.

i need another one.

i have 4 closers and shields, so i need my bench spots to rotate starting pitchers in and out.

Since batters play every game, your ideal setup (or mine at least) would be to have one healthy stud for each batting position, and then the rest of your team be pitchers. Since batters play every game and pitchers rotate, it is, IMO, more beneficial to carry a bench pitcher vs a bench hitter because you can use the pitcher. If your starting hitter is good, then you rarely play the backup hitter.
The odds of the AL MVP coming from the American League are looking pretty good.
