This is what it says in Yahoo, which is why I recently dropped him:

15-day DL as of Jul 10, 2006 (Right forearm surgery - out for season)

I thought there was an outside chance for him to return this year?

Rotoworld:

"It's possible that Patterson will be back this season, though with the Nationals unlikely to be in the race, they'll probably be especially cautious. More important than anything is having him healthy at the start of 2007. "He has a chance to come back," GM Jim Bowden said. "The elbow was in good shape and the ligament was very strong."

He was dropped in my league so I just picked him up and stashed him on the DL in case he returns.

Is it really worth that? I mean how many starts is he going to make max if he does come back, 2 or 3?

yeah i would say hes way safe to drop... the only reason you could justify keeping him around is if you have him on an unused DL spot...

Yahoo never changed it but after this recent surgery it said he would be back within 6 weeks - 3 to 4 weeks have went by.
