If all they gave up was a low level prospect I'm ok with it.

Now just wait until Roger clears and comes back home. THEN I'll be excited ;-7

Agreed. Shame there's no way on Earth Clemens gets past the Rangers on waivers though. :-[

Good to see Epstein was looking at his splits just like I was ;-D :-b

A platoon of Mirabelli/Lopez should be much better than one of Mirabelli/Huckaby until Tek comes back.

When Tek gets back, perhaps they could start him once a week at first to give Youk a break. At the least, he'll be a good bench bat to have, though not sure what we'd do with the 25-man.

When Varitek comes back they'll probably carry 3 catchers with both Varitek & Lopez able to play 1B.

You don't think hes a good pickup for the situation and as a good bat off the bench?

It never fails though, I finally cut an underachieving Lopez who sparingly plays at BAL then he gets traded to the BoSox.

He'll probably play 3 out of 5 games or so right?

His fantasy value gets a slight boost but I still don't think he's anything more than a bottom of the line starting fantasy catcher. I guess thats more than what he was 3 days ago but by no means will he be a top 5-10 catcher.

I agree Martin is probably safer.
