I stole him in the draft. I think it was round 5 in a 14 team league.

The guy has been solid ALL year. I can't even remember an extended slump that lasted more than 4 or 5 games.

Renteria will not be overlooked in the draft next year.
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

He has 2 more RBI's today. Closing in on 100! He had a really good year last season, but this season he has come to the top of the SS class.

I wonder if the St. Louis fans are saying "Ozzie who?"

Question for all. Do you think this season is a real improvement for Rentaria or this this season just a fluke season? His numbers this years are way above his norms.

Look at his 2002 stats. He's had a better season this year, but not anything earth shattering compared to last year.

2002 - 11 HR, 83 RBI, 22 SB, .305 BA
2003 - 13 HR, 98 RBI, 34 SB, .331 BA

His OBP is about .030 higher and his SLG is up about .050 this year though.

I just think he is maturing as a hitter and showing progree every year.

He will never rank as high as ARod (who does?) but he looks to be in the top 3 or 4 at least.

it seems like he has been around forever but he is just 28. if you look at last years splits he has been holding this level of production for about 1.5 seasons. to me that indicates it isnt a fluke season but the maturation of a good short stop.
