Oh, I agree it's a crap shoot. Chicago may be very sorry down the road.

does anybody know how many warmup pitches he threw today? <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif>

And how many times did he try and pick off Tike?

Shouldn't we be talking about the 14k's or 91 strikes?
If he wins next time out. He has to be in the CY arguement ..IMO :-)

IMO, he's the Cy Young winner right now. If he pitches a solid game in his next start, he'll definately be my pick for the Cy Young.

Yes I know about Gagne..its just my opinion that he should not win it this year and no closer probably ever should. JMO

Everyone shouldn't be concerned with Prior's high pitch counts. Unlike wood, burnett, or beckett, Prior has perfect mechanics. If you watch him pitch, he has no actions where he uses excess energy to wind up or have a huge leg kick or what not. Prior's also a competitor. I saw him curse at himself after he gave up ONE ER today. Prior will continue to get better and better. No need to worry about his pitch counts.

BTW, the cy young goes to the most dominant PITCHER in the national league and that's Eric Gagne.
