Well they only have a small payroll because their owners are greedy jerks
I thought the Rockies had a dramatic drop in attendance the last few years? :-?

Ok check this out.

1993: 4,483,350
1994: 3,281,511
1995: 3,390,037
1996: 3,891,014
1997: 3,888,453
1998: 3,792,683
1999: 3,235,833
2000: 3,149,117
2001: 3,168,579
2002: 2,737,918
2003: 2,334,085
2004: 2,338,069
2005: 1,915,586
2006: 2,105,995

They have lost over a million in attendance from where they were 5 years ago. Couple that with some really bad contracts and you can see why they haven't spent much lately.

Maybe if they start spending again, they can get those numbers up?

Colorado is a great baseball market, as evident by the record attendance numbers set in the Rockies history.

Problem is now, that the team isn't winning and many fans are unhappy with management (owners, GM, and manager).

Next year I'd expect attendance to go up, as I believe the Rockies will be competetive as they were for the first half of this past season.

Nobody has any good things to say about the Owners/GM

Still Rockies games cost nothing to go to, you can bring in your own food, its a beautiful stadium etc..

However, when it starts getting chilly at night you can kiss attendance goodbye without a decent team
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment
