Red Sox Fault?: Clutch hitting.

I don't want to hear about Grady or relief pitching or whatever. If Manny or Ortiz could hit, it wouldn't matter. It's UGLY.
I'm back. Sorta.

Agreed. If the Sox can win with Burkett on the mound, I really like our chances with Pedro Monday!

That game was definitely ugly. The Red Sox got lucky in that ALL of the breaks went their way just about.

Trans, I know you don't want to hear about Grady Little...I place a lot of blame on him, but you are definitely right in that if Ortiz or Manny could hit wed be up 2-1, maybe even have swept them. Hopefully Trots home run and the fact that they have momentum will allow those two to ease up a little and just start driving the ball.
Rest in peace Mitch Hedberg. I name my fantasy team "Buoyancy of Citrus", in your honor.

Either hit the high fast ball or lay off it.

That was Lilly's best pitch it seemed.

you all knew lilly would dominate boston. he finished the year 6-0 when mulder fell. you guys can whine about manny and ortiz all you want but the fact is they're not hitting because, hello, its oakland pitching. the fact that lilly destroyed boston at fenway shows that we know what we're doing. boston, you're done

Agreed. They were setting up that fastball at the letters and they wouldn't lay off.

Well, no. Lilly has been good, certainly, but in Fenway against that team, it looked like he would get hit. It didn't happen.

The Sox are still up against the wall, but we're not done. See, for reference, the 2001 Yankees. What happened there Pkarr? It's possible.
