It seems to me that it's a Red Sox fan stiring up some trouble. I think Huddy is smarter than that.
I'm back. Sorta.

The bouncer and the owner disagree in the article. I'm not convinced.
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

I trust the owner over the bouncer.

Dan Patrick talked about it on his radio show today. He did say he wasn't sure if it was true but did say that the police had gotten involved.

ESPN.com news services
Oakland Athletics ace Tim Hudson was allegedly involved in an altercation at a Boston nightspot two nights before Sunday's playoff start against the Red Sox, a game he left after one inning due to a muscle injury.

Hudson

Both the San Francisco Chronicle and WBZ-TV in Boston reported Monday that the incident might have contributed to the injury that forced Hudson out of Game 4 of the AL Division Series, which the A's lost 5-4. The decisive Game 5 is scheduled for Monday night in Oakland.

Hudson, who pitched on three days' rest and has battled a hip problem in the past, suffered what the team called a strain in his left oblique muscle. It was unclear whether he would pitch if the A's advance to the AL Championship Series. Hudson was scheduled to undergo an MRI exam Monday in Oakland.

Two different versions of the Boston bar scrape have emerged.

In the first, Hudson and teammate Barry Zito allegedly visited two Boston bars Friday night, ending up at Q, a Faneuil Hall-area bar/dance club, ESPN has learned. Hudson, who witnesses said had been drinking, is supposed to have gone out on the dance floor by himself after Zito retired to another area of the club. A disagreement ensued between Hudson and a patron, sources told ESPN. Hudson allegedly punched the man several times and was wildly swinging at the people around him. It took a number of bouncers from the Q to restrain Hudson and remove him from the club, sources said.

The police were not called during or after the incident.

Zito and the manager of the nightclub deny the story.

However, a Q security guard, who spoke to the Chronicle on the condition his name not be used, called the incident "a big melee" and said Hudson "was throwing haymakers."

"It was five minutes of mayhem," the security guard said.

In the second version, other witnesses at Q told ESPN that Zito took a seat at the bar, while Hudson was standing in front of the bar in a different area. It was there, the witnesses said, that Hudson was confronted by a young man who made an obscene gesture in Hudson's face and verbally attacked the pitcher. Hudson "laughed it off," sources said, but the patron persisted. Hudson then made an obscene gesture at the young man, who proceeded to spray Hudson with beer. It was then that punches flew. It is unclear from the witnesses who threw the first punch, though one witness said it was Hudson.

The manager of Q, however, denied that an altercation took place.

"Tim and Barry were both here," Noel Gentelles told the Chronicle, "and they couldn't have been nicer. Barry even played with the band. There was no altercation."

To go out during the season is fine. But to go out drinking during the ALDS is plain STUPID. Tim deserves any trouble he got in.
