David Aardsma WHitesox..Closer potential?

This guy has been dominant for the Whitesox, racking up lots of K's in the process. Could he take over for Jenks, who has struggled with velocity.

this guy is amazing, all he does is throw strikes. i dont think he closes unless jenks really struggles, i mean ERA of 5+ after 15-20 innings. But he would be a nice pickup as a MR, with his nice ERA and lots of K's.

I would assume MacDougal is ahead of him on the depth chart to close.

He'd be a great closer for the Sox. But because of how things go, Jenks would have to lose his job, and then so would MacDougal.

As long as Ozzie Guillen is manager, I'd say the odds of something unusual happening are higher than with most teams.

This talk kills me. Jenks was working consistantly at 95 night before last along with that nasty curveball. His numbers thus far are the same as last season...ERA 4 with a 1.30 WHIP...it is ridiculous to site a decrease in velocity when speculating Jenks will lose the closer job. Write in Jenks for 40 saves and call it day.

Jenks came into camp slimmer this season which Guillen hounded him about last year (his weight). I think that is the reason he is ONLY hitting 95.

Its Guillen screwing with the media.
