Had a nice start a week ago, and now is finishing up a really nice start this afternoon. Hey pittsburgh people is this guy for real, or is he just popping out to a good start only to get creamed if I pick him up.

I'm wondering the same thing myself.

And I wish Pujols could get a hit.... :-/

He was my "Mr. Irrelevant" in most of my drafts. Pretty pleased with his performance thus far. ;-D

Pujols is hitting the ball hard but right at people.

He's just doing what he did in the minors. He's definately got some skill so don't think it is flukey! With that said it may be tough to succeed on a bad team.

Minor league career

2.91 ERA
1.12 WHIP
8.98 K/9
3 BB/9

I like the kid alot. He had good numbers in the minors with a K/9 right around 9 and an era of 3.26, and 2.35 in AA and AAA. With 11 starts last year he gave up 3 ER or less in the final 8. I think hes going to have a solid year, with decent strike out totals. It depends on the size of your league if you want to own him. I'm in a 16 team mixed and i own him but it were 10 team mixed i might think otherwise...

Beware of Ryan Vogelsong part II. :*)

In all seriousness, he looks pretty good. I'm definitely going to keep a close eye on him, but I still wouldn't start him for his next turn just yet @LAD.

According to "talent evaluators" Gorzellany is likely to be the best of Pittsburgh's young starters.

That doesn't mean that he's a better option than, say, Snell, right now, but I do think he has the most potential for long-term success.

His struggles are going to come when he gets wild. Even today, he threw a lot of balls. If he can continue to keep the walk numbers down, though, he's going to have a real nice year.

I would advise starting him @LA actually. Great pitchers park and Dodgers dont have the scariest offense.
