#1 Waiver Wire priority for Posednik?

Postby Slump Busters » Sun Apr 22, 2007 2:19 pm

Weekly I am getting beat in the steals category. I drafted Chris Duffy late as a potential base hawk, however he has yet to get running and indication out of Pittsburgh is that unlike last year pitchers are on to him.

Pods come off waivers tomorrow, but would you spend a #1 waiver wire priority to grab a guy from waivers that is currently on the DL??? My hope is he will clear waivers, but I would really like to have his speed on my bench and ready to play.

Duffy would get the cut if I grab Pods.

Thanks,

I'm not a big Scotty Podsucknik guy, but if you need wheels he's gonna steal more than Duffy, so I would recommend picking him up. I would also explore trade options first for someone like Chone Figgins, who you can buy fairly low on right now and who will give you more in the other categories than Duffy or Podsednik can.

Another thing to note is that eventually Crawford will start stealing more.
