It just gets a bit tiring to hear all the New Yorkers talk about how they need all these FA's when the best free agent my team can sign is Belliard. I guess you can call that sour grapes.

LOL. I hear ya. The problem with baseball geographically is that it is locally based. When the Mets played the Yanks in the World Series, it was great for the NY area but I bet that most of the USA couldn't have cared less.

I just think that it would add life to a dead NY Mets team and really liven up the fans. The Orioles already got 2 good FA's so their fans should be happy anyway. I also think that it would be great culturally as well.

whoa.. hold up there softy. No player in their right mind could give a crap about w/e you just said. They have 2 things in their minds, Years and GUARANTEED MONEY, not this incentive crap. And who gives a s*** about the Mets. There arent any fans to liven. Atleast fans actually come to games in B'more. sure attedndance has gone down, but we still avg. 30K a game. O and one more thing, Vladimir GUerrero does not look at his signing as a thing that could help the state of the game.. that is a huge stretch. One player dont make a difference. Each player gets up 1/9 of the time. Its not like as soon as they get vlad, even tho they wont ... 1METS.html, he would turn it around. that is my piece, and i am done.

Looks like the Angels. From Rotoworld:

Vladimir Guerrero - OF - Montreal Expos Jan 10

The New York Daily News is reporting that Vladimir Guerrero will sign a five-year, $70 million contract with the Angels.
This wouldn't have come as a surprise a couple of months ago, but if it's true, the Angels came out of nowhere to pull this off now. The deal could mean that Garret Anderson will become available in trade talks. Finding a team willing to take Darin Erstad's contract would be a better option, but the most likely scenario is that Erstad will be moved to first base, sending Anderson to center and Jose Guillen to left.

Anderson has experience in CF about 2 years worth and will do fine in the final year of a contract
