What are your projections for him?

He had a big night last night, and he struck out for only the 2nd time last night in 62 ABs. He also has only 4 BBs.

He had a big night off of a terrible pitcher. The entire Boston lineup had a big night. Don't read too much into it.

Do you count fielding % in your league?

There were like four homers in a row at one point. There's no way you can take anything from that game except the Yanks pitcher blew it big time.

Lowell is old and his stats should be fairly predictable, like 80-20-80-.280, BUT, I do recall him going through some crazy hot streaks over his career so now might be a good time to pick him up if you need 3B help. He was hitting pretty well of late going into yesterday's game. Maybe a little power spurt is on the way.

He is 33 years old. While he is past his prime, he is not some old geezer.

I do agree with the 80-20-80-.280 projection though. I believe he usually is a better first half player than 2nd half player.

I have him and Atkins and Mora in a league (draft blip there - not paying enough attention). Personally I'm glad to have Mora and Lowell, because Atkins hasn't done squat this year so far. Hopefully Atkins picks it up a few notches soon so I can trade Lowell or Mora while they’re hot.

Well he lead all thirdbaseman in fielding percentage last year (unless i am mistaken) and the red sox set a record for best team fielding percentage. I wouldn't expect his year season fielding woes to continue.

Exactly. He'll hit for average and get you a ton of doubles for the first half. The second half....not so much
