SP/RP relievers with good ratios

Ledezma, Villanueva and Billingsly are all decent bets, although all of them are young and unproven and certainly aren't locks to help your ratios, especially considering the variability in stats of relievers due to a smaller number of IP. If I had to pick one, though, I'd probably go with Ledezma.

These are my 2 SP/RP guys (using a minimum innings strategy in one of my leagues this season) and they both pitch a good amount of innings with an OK K/9, but good ratios and very good W/IP (something to look at in leagues with innings limits).

Instead of having a #5 SP last year, an owner could have used these two guys to combine for 192.2 IP, 16 W, 127 K, 3.50 ERA, 1.25 WHIP.

Compare that to Roy Halladay's 220 IP, 16 W, 132 K, 3.19 ERA, 1.10 WHIP not that different and we're comparing a top-5 rounder with two later rounders or WW guys.

He has actually pitched well too, surprisingly enough (minus the grand slam from Sat.).

Ohh I like this Gregg guy, good BB:K ratio and K:IP. Thanks ;-D

1.39 WHIP in '06'
1.36 career WHIP

Thats pretty bad, even this year his WHIP is 1.29.

Anything above 1.25 is hurting more then helping IMO

Ledezma whip '06' = 1.38

Thats pretty bad; I wouldn't want him as a MR on my team. Sure he has a 1.14 WHIP this year so far but I would think his stats will go back to what he did last year.

One I'm looking at right now is Mark Hendrickson. So far this year he has been very good. Last year his numbers where bad but I think he was mostly a starter last year. I'm not confident in him yet so still watching him.

I remember him in TB and he was talked about as having good talent.

Well, he came in with the bases loaded and he had to throw strikes. Still, only 1 ER to him.
