What's the deal? 4,000 teams have dropped Akinori Iwamura? Is there something I missed?

No, they're just morons.
He didn't play a lot last week because of flu-like symptoms. He'll be back, don't worry.

I think those owners are smart, and that many will go back to him in a month or so if he shows signs of readjusting.

I drafted him out of the gate and dropped him the next day.

Lesson learned.

Regardless though, I thought maybe there was something wrong with him - but it seems to me he's been raking.

Given Mike Lowell was added 9000+ times, I'm guessing Iwamura was the guy they dropped.

I think they are just overreacting to his 'slump'. I.e., he's not hitting .400+ like he was in the first week.

In H2H leagues, he can be a wasted roster spot is all. He's got 3B eligibility only, and if you're good at 3B then his use is only good on off days. In keepers or whatever, sure, he's gold.
