Its just me, but no way I let him slide past the 5th ... :-) He will regain his crown as the number one C next season. Grab him.

and welcome to the cafe

Mike Piazza will be back behind the plate.

i got this from http://www.letsplay2.com/baseball/mets.cfm

"Mike Piazza’s home run production has declined in each of the last three years, but you can still count on him for more than 30, especially with the addition of Floyd to the offense and Howe to the manager’s seat. You can also expect a return to 100+ RBIs and a .300+ batting average."

I agree. If he is there past the 5th he should be taken.

i dont see him topping .300. more like .280 or so. he may hit 25-30 homers, and depending on the rest of his lineup, he MAY drive in 100. if hes healthy, i see more like 90 or so.

Piazza is still a draft priority

I think this guy's still got 30 HRs in him, along with 100 RBIs - if he stays healthy. The thing to remeber is that he's a CATCHER. How many guys that qualify for that position are out there? Only a handfull. There are many more outfielders and first basemen that can put those numbers up than catchers. If he's available in 3 or 4, get him. Huge sleeper.

8th rd steal.! he has fallen and maybe will only get 25 HRs hit only 280/290 and get only a 100 RBI which are not great for anywhere but catcher. But since he is a catcher call his loud & clear in the 8th rd

i'd love to see him go to 1b so I could use him at catcher but he would actually play 1b. He should do pretty decent this year now that he's healthy.

.280-28-90
