he looks like a bull out there.... nasty @ss stuff he has.... good mound demeanor.

perfect sleeper for next year imo because this kid has top 20 starter written all over him. the Jays should be happy they waited him out.

Alright where do you think he sits on ranking lists for next year? He just had a CG against the Red Sox and he dominates RH hitters. Is top 20 pitcher too much to think of him for next year?

I dug this stat up the other day for a Jays forum I frequent, and it surprised me a bit, though maybe it shouldn't have.

AL Opposing batters' OPS:
1. Erik Bedard .615
2. Dustin McGowan .624
3. AJ Burnett .640
4. Josh Beckett .650
5. Joe Blanton .652
6. Justin Verlander .654
7. Fausto Carmona .661
8. Kelvim Escobar .665
9. Johan Santana .667
10. Brian Bannister .680
11. Roy Halladay .682

Of course, add in Peavy, Young, and Webb in front of McGowan if it is the entire major leagues. He's also 5th in the majors in H/9, behind only Peavy, Young, Bedard, and Santana. His second half ERA is below 3.40 and his WHIP below 1.10 over that same time. This guy has the chance to be really good. When he throws strikes, he's practically unhittable.

I love this kid.

him and Clay Buchholz are the reason why i let Roy Halladay go in my dynasty league, dealing Roy and Tex for Pujols.

of course i got Peavy as well as my horse and alot of young pitchers im hoping of which a couple pan out good for me next year with McGowan and Buch at the top ;-D
ummm lets go angels? :)
