4 years for 50 million is cheap compared to what happened last offseason when people like Padilla get 11+ million per year. Pettitte got 16 million. Buehrle only got 12.5 million a year. The Sox would have been screwed without him. Who else do the Sox have to eat up innings and get 16 wins per season?

No, not yet. I read on Roto Times earlier that their supposedly close to working out a contract extension, although I'm pretty sure it hasn't been finalized yet.

The rumor from 670 The Score is that there has been no deal, but that a 4 yr, $56M offer is on the table. It is also rumored that part of the problem in getting the deal done might be the Player's Association trying to stop it because they think that this offer is too low based on market value.

If that retard Zito can sign for $600 billion then Buehrle should get the same money. Zito having the Cy Young is nullified by the fact that Buehrle has a WS ring. They should get the same money - which shouldn't be what Zito got. ;D

Way too much power if they actually have some sort of power over this. If the White Sox make the offer and Buehrle accepts it, then the player's association should stay the crap out of it.

I'm not sure if they Players Association has the power to have a say in what kind of offer the White Sox can make. That doesn't sound right.

Well that's just like, your opinion man.
