If the season ended today, which pitcher seems to have won it?

AL - 1. Haren 2. Johan 3. Bedard 4. Escobar/Sabathia
NL - 1. Young 2. Peavy 3. Penny 4. Maine/Hamels

That's if it ended right now

Well, if it ended today, I guess its pretty easy: Haren and Young. I think Haren isn't going to pitch AS well and the A's aren't going to win him too many ball games so if I am betting on who wins it this year, I am saying:

AL: Beckett
NL: Young

For me, the AL is going to go to one of Beckett, Johan and Sabathia, probably to the one who wins the most games/gets their team to the playoffs. Bedard and Haren can definitely still win it but the voters are most heavily weighed by whats happened most recently and if the team is burying in the playoff race, then people probably won't notice Bedard and Haren as much either. Bedard leads in Ks and Haren still leads in ERA (last I checked) so obviously they can't be counted out, but my money is on Beckett.

Didn't Young just get put on the DL? If he keeps it up I think Zambrano might be the guy, especially if the the Cubs get in the playoffs. He's been the best pitcher in MLB for almost 2 months now.

Right now AL Santana NL Penny
At season's end AL Santana NL Zambrano (his numbers in June / July are ridiculous)
No way Chris Young will win the NL Cy. He'll won't even get 15 wins.
