Tigers call up Cameron Maybin

Trying to bring life back to a slumping team? How does he compare to other young prospects coming up?

Saw that, don't think he's ready, might catch fire early on but might go on the Mark Reynolds road this year, still needs more time in the minors. At least half a season more.
Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.

local radio reporting called up and Craig Monroe DFA, so probably here to stay the rest of the year, although my expectations are tempered

probably more value to the Tigers than for Fantasy at this point, but he's got .300/20/20 potential, probably a little more speed than that actually

He been ripping up the minors for the last week, something like 5HR in 7 games I think (dont quote me) but this is unexpected too, teams taking an agressive approach with prospects this year, I wouldn;t have expected either Upton or Maybin to get called.

I'm leaving him i think, waiting on Bruce.

Still unsure what I'm going to do...no guarantee Bruce gets called up...remember Delmon Young a couple years ago, and how lots of people held out using their waiver on Felix to wait for him, and got stuck with Hermida instead.

I don't know that I would expect much of Maybin. He hit 3 HRs in the week since being called up to AA Erie, but that is a small park. Word is that he is a pretty mature kid (Tigers seem to scout maturity) but it would be an awful lot to expect him to excel right away. I would love to see him not be overwhelmed at least.
