Per rototimes, here are the 100 most valuable players this season through Friday's games.

Top catcher is Russell Martin at #59
Top 1B is Albert Pujols at #21
Top 2B is Brian Roberts at #13
Top SS is Hanley Ramirez at #1
Top 3B is A-Rod at #2
Top 3 OF are Magglio, Ichiro and Holliday at 4, 5 and 6
Top 3 SP are Peavy, Bedard and Santana at 11, 17, 25
Top 2 RP are Putz and Saito at 14 and 34.

It would be cool to compare those dollar amounts to draft day dollar amounts to see who is actually the most valuable

IMO a $40 dollar player who was $50 at the draft is less valuable than a $35 dollar player that was $20 on draft day

Something that makes me question these Rankings

How is Arod not the #1 player?

Currently, he leads HanRam by:

13 R
16 HR
52 RBI

Trailing Hanley by:

23 SB
0.36 BA


Maybe I'm under-rating Avg, but I think A-Rod has been more valuable especially when you consider that in the stats that A-Rod trails he still has 15 SBs and a .304 BA.

Part of Hanley's value is the shallowness of SS. 3B is pretty deep.
