Yeah they could have easily made that decision then and not resigned Rivera if they wanted Joba to close. I trust Cashman won't let him stay in the pen.

Is there a link for him going to the minors in june? I've never heard that before and can't find it on ESPN...

If the Yankees wanted Joba to be the closer of the future, they wouldn't have signed Rivera to a 4 year deal imo.

That's what I'm thinking too. I was dreading, being a Sox fan, thinking about seeing Joba in the 9th year after year. But I think we'll just be seeing him every 5th day. Which could become just as painful...

i just drafted him in the 23 round becasue no one in my draft wanted to touch him because he isnt starting or closing...i wasnt gonna draft him but i figured getting him here could only repay me....right??? :-?
