The forecast says heavy rain early Sat morning and intermittant showers after. These games could both wind up being played, albeit delayed. Oakland does not have another trip east and since it seems they really do not want to conflict with the Ravens opener I would expect they do everything possible to get these games played, even if it takes until 2 in the morning.

Tomorrow is defeinitely a day to play it by ear be ready to bench East Coast players depending on the weather looks.

Is rescheduling the doubleheader from Saturday to Sunday, if they do get rained out, out of the question?
The Sunday forecast for Baltimore is rain free.

The reason they were playing a DH today and were off tomorrow is the Ravens have a home game Sunday and they(the state I guess) didn't want the conflict.

I understand that.
I was wondering if the thought of playing the games on Sunday was completely out of the question.

I guess I should have been more specific. They didn't want the conflict before the state of emergency was declared and the 20,000+ power outages. ;-)

If MLB asks to play today's game that was postponed tomorrow, they would not be given permission by the Governor, who under these conditions would have the authority to call in the National Guard to shut the game down.

They don't need power to play a stinkin' baseball game. :-]

I didn't realize it was that bad on the east coast.
