The A's lineup should be much improved over last years squad with the additions of Holliday, Cabrera and Giambi.

Anyone's an improvement over Crutches Crosby.

That's an improvement dude, IMO.
On a side note, Holliday should have a better supporting cast than some may have thought:

1. Sweeney
2. Cabrera
3. Giambi
4. Holliday
5. Cust
6. Ellis
7. Chavez (for 2 weeks, then Hannahan)
8. Suzuki
9. Buck

That's at par with what the Rockies are throwing out there

Will signing Cabrera cost the A's any draft picks? If so might not be the best signing, though he is certainly an improvement over trash Crosby.

The Sox offered arbitration, so they should be getting a draft pick from this. ;-D

I didn't want the Jays to sign him because of the draft pick they'd lose. They were reportedly interested.

Sweet, I was hoping Beane would get OCab. The lineup's looking pretty good, bullpen is rock solid, only question mark for the A's is their starting pitching.

It will be a 2nd rd pick. So that's not the end of the world and considering how much of an upgrade it is from Crutches Crosby it's a good deal. Plus the A's system is overflowing with talent, not having a 2nd rd pick won't be noticed.
