Myers or Eaton?

Who do you like better? Adam Eaton or Brett Myers?

Both are risks, and I say just pick one, b/c neither has a better chance to be better this season.

I would say Eaton. I am very high on the Padres staff for this year.

+1 to this!! I think that he'll get 5-7 more wins, just from the more massive offense, even w/ Thome's broken finger. The Padres are more of a 'sleeper' type of team w/ a lot of unproven potential. '

I had Myers last year and found him very frustrating as he'd get pasted, and then toss a two hitter (while on the bench...), then get pasted, and win another game (while on the bench)...my fault but it was hard to keep up w/ the ups and downs. He looks even, but he bounced around from game to game. And look at his Aug/ Sept numbers.

He's young though and, as nobody drafted him, I may still go for him as a quick pickup...

Myers will probably have a little better run support but he was so inconsistent last year. Eaton has more experience and I really think he is poised for a break out year. He's got the stuff he just has to stay healthy! Not only that, but, the Padres offense is much improved and also will not have any problems scoring runs for him. Go with Mr. Eaton!
