If we are talking about leagues that use OBP instead of BA, then I'm all over the Dunn bandwagon.

Otherwise, I'll wave as it goes by!

I think it'll be fun to have competing threads O:-)

Dunn was injury plagued most of last season. He's healthy this year. It should be a fun time proving Wrveres wrong this year.

Sorry, been awhile since I read that thread ;-) .

Should prove to be an interesting season though. "Battle of the Threads" only availiable at The Cafe'! ;-D

Lol. :-D

Alright, the spring stats are in:

53 AB
.377 AVG
.811 SLG
6 HR
15 RBI
13 R

Obivously this is a small sample size and against some pretty weak pitching at times, but nonetheless is very encouraging. But muliply all those by 10 and you'll have an idea of what he's capable of.

Adam Dunn is not a gamble this year. He'll be a very solid producer either at 1B or OF, and could be a stud, I guarantee it.

By all means, pick him up if he's available. If you need OF or 1B help, try to swing a trade now if he's not available.

I'm a big Adam Dunn fan, but he kept getting picked really early in all my leagues. Usually way before the cafe darling, Austin Kearns.

I like Dunn, he is already a GOD in leagues which use OBP... but he needs to HIT first before trying to reach 50 homers- the same is also true for guys like Glaus, Burrell.

however if ure in a shallow-ish league with only five offensive categories (one of which is BA), its not worth taking a chance on him too early cos he'll prolly mess up your team's BA single-handedly :-t

I'm hoping Dunn does well this year cause I've picked him in most leagues. And I've got him at the level of guys like Alou, Mondesi, and such. So it's not too risky. In one league that I play in every year I got him in the 15th round. Same place I took Vernon Wells last year. Omen? Hope so. :-D
