12 Team 5x5 Non-keeper.

I figure A-Rod will go No. 1.
My brain says Pujols or Soriano but my heart says Prior or Gagne.
The two of them led me to the title last year.

What would you do?

AGAIN I say NEVER TAKE A PITCHER 1st ROUND, ever. Take Pujols and be happy. You need hitters who play every day and not pitchers who pitch once a week.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

pujols, then a-rod period...on the wrap around you can always get a wood/mussina and a big bat or reliever....get the big man 1st...

You can make an argument for Soriano, but I'd grab Pujols.

I'd take Pujols. But I would take Prior or Gagne in the late first round. I took Bonds and Sosa with the 12 and 13 picks last year and traded them for Prior and Wood. My offence was good enough to take the hit in homers and Prior and wood carried my pitching staff to the championship.

1st round = best player available pitcher or not

There are 5 pitching cats just like hitting.
Barry Bonds for US president.

The bottom line is to do whatever you want. Personally, I took Prior with the number 2 pick in my 6 x 6 keeper league this year, and feel damn good about it. People always forget that pitching is half the game, and believe me, there is always more offense than pitching to go around. The downside is that pitchers are a little more of a injury risk than offensive players....but you never know when your top offensive guy could break a finger either. With the number 2 pick, you can't go wrong either way!!!

Huh? Better offense, Cards or Rangers? I've gotta give the nod to the Rangers.
