Why does everyone expect this guy to perform well? He had 1 good steroid loaded year and thats it.

Not me. I just know how to speak some Italian. :-b

About Beltre, I read he made a bit of an adjustment on his swing and so far it has paid off. Yesterday, 3-for-4 with a homerun and today, 2-for-4. Ma va bene, vinceremo insieme! :-D

He's hit 25+ HR the last 3 seasons.....I think that's all people are expecting.

That's pretty decent considering he seems to be running a lot more this year.
He's already got 5 SB's, and if he's able to continue his streak of 20+ HR, that's a potential 20-20 guy at 3B who was drafted late or in the case of an impatient manager, grabbed off the wire.

He's also a candidate to be traded at the all star break, and depending where he ends up, his value could get a huge boost.

People expect him to perform just like he has the last 3 years, those are still very draftable stats out of a bland later round 3B. 25 HR, .270ish AVG, 10 SB, 85 R, 85 RBI. something like that is very serviceable.
