I've also heard not to touch Jody Gerut because of some lingering injury he has. Also be weary of drafting Aaron Boone, which I guess is like saying the sky is blue.

I drafted Hoffman, hoping he's back in full force. Still, if you risk drafting a toothpick closer (Wickman, Nen, Izzy, etc) it would be wise to grab the backup too.

My do not draft list was basically

David Wells
Rob Nen
Ken Griffey Jr

I broke down in the 20th round of my ten team 6x6 league and took Griffey. I figured, 20th round out of 23, who really cares if he gets hurt again. It he stays healthy, it'll turn out to be the steal of the draft.

Carlos Lee
Frank Thomas
Bonds (Yes, I'm serious)
Moyer

I also don't trust Soriano but it seems everyone else loves him in Texas.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

That looks more like an "avoid taking too early" than "avoid at all costs" list. You'd obviously draft Bonds or Lee if they were there in the 15th round.

I don't have much of an avoid list.........guys like Nen and Hoffman could be useful if you could get them really late. But most of the guys that have been listed will be drafted too early for my taste. Except Loaiza, people over-compensated on the devaluing and now he's under-rated. ;-D

I've had him on my FB teams the past 2 years and he has given me some great returns aside from the 2nd half last year. This year I wouldn't touch him because La Russa has pitched him into the ground since he got him off the Padres, especially last year and it has now well and truly caught up with him. When La Russa and Duncan brought him out of the bullpen two days after starting and then had him starting again 2 days later in early September was the tip of the iceberg for me. Woody is already injured and I doubt he will pitch much this year. Avoid unless he falls to the very deep rounds, which he wont.

Why not draft SHEFFIELD?

Because he has a torn tigament in his thumb which could require surgery that would sideline him for 2-3 months.
