haha what is a 21 game winner like russ ortiz doing on waivers?!?! GOOD CALL actually - i see ortiz being the biggest bust in fantasy baseball this year so smart league to keep him there. IMO russ ortiz is the most overrated pitcher in baseball being that he'll kill ur WHIP and would be lucky to win 15 w/ the lineup he has this year.

sorry - just wanted to bash ortiz... as far as ur list goes... peavy, milton, and odalis just might be worth a shot... but i'd see if i can find relievers to help ur WHIP, ERA k's, etc out... potential closers and stud relievers who can really make a difference for u are: riske, valverde, flash gordon, raffy soriano, ryan wagner, chad cordero

riske going to be a setup man?

since its a head to head league holds are going to count same as saves.

which is silly, but true with our setup.

I made it clear to everyone we where using holds though.

I am thinking maybe I go with 4 rps and get one more starter, one RP could lose his job and Starter should continue to start unless hurt.

I think Milton's gonna have a great season - I'd draft him before I drafted contreras - I just don't like Jose this year. I see him getting hurt and screwing the NY rotation even more.

This is the order I would grab them
1. Ortiz
2. Peavy
3. Milton

Ortiz isn't the greatest Pitcher but he is a soilid fantasy producer. It wasn't just last year, his last 3 years have all been above average.

2003: 21-7 3.81 ERA 1.31 WHIP 149 K
2002: 14-10 3.61 ERA 1.33 WHIP 137 K
2001: 17-9 3.29 ERA 1.27 WHIP 169 K

--He's had at least 14 wins in every season but his rookie year (5 straight years)

--at least 149 K in 4 of his 5 full seasons as a starter.

He's been consistent for a long time, I see him getting at least
15 wins around a 3.75 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and around 150K

I think that is very respectable for a 3rd-4th starter in 12-team leagues.

For a 6th starter I think he is great. He doesn't have Potential to be among the best in the league but he's consistantly in the top 20-25 pitchers.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. -Crash Davis
