will either of these two young guys get playing time in 2010. Saunders didn't show much in the majors last year, but he raked over the winter. With griffey and Bradley, he may see some time due to injuries. I like Danks, but where will he fit in, unless injuries?

I don't think Jordan Danks will see any time in the pro's this year unless Juan Pierre sucks big time and he actually hits the ball at a level above single A (which he didn't do last year) but I guess he can field really well and also has a laser for an arm. He needs some more seasoning, but if he hits alright they could treat him like they did with Brian Anderson in '05 and call him up midseason to be a defensive specialist of sorts. Saunders I really like and I was hoping they'd give him regular at bats but once they brought in Bradley it seems like he's demoted to a bench role/AAA. His story is basically the same as Danks as apparently he too is a defensive specialist whom they could use to relieve Bradley late in games.

Danks frankly just isn't that good right now, even if he was to get PT you should stay away as he would offer little to nothing. Saunders is a better prospect by quite a bit, that said he still need to develope a bit more in AAA IMO. The trading for Bradley to me shows that the Mariners feel the same way and don't want to rush the kid. I expect Saunders to eventually get some time in the 2nd half of the season, but not sure how much of an impact he will make this year.

Danks had an unimpressive 73 games in AA. I think he repeats AA and gets a midseason promotion to AAA at the earliest. Maybe he's a September callup but he won't be much of a contributor this year.

Saunders on the other hand should start in the majors. And he'll be in the mix for PT in LF splitting AB's with Bradley and Griffey at LF/DH. I like him to get a lot of AB's with that competition but maybe not the first month.
