Very Odd Auction for Me

Postby justinA » Fri Mar 26, 2004 10:56 pm

i went in wanting to spend aournd a 65-35 ratio hitting to pitching, but it must have been the heat of the moment because I came out with my team at a ratio of about 50-50! Thats with obviously less pitchers and hitters, so its crazy that I spent that much on pitching. Rivera and Mussina cost me a combined $68 so that probably contributed. The point of this post is to ask if u think unconventional strategies like that can be effective??

They can be effective, but most likely you'll be making some trades during the season to upgrade some of your offensive positions.

You will be looking/trading for more outfielders because using so many draft picks on pitchers, probally left you somewhat short-handed elsewhere. An advantage: pitchers are good tradebait.
