Who do you think is going to have the better year overall?

I'd say Tex.

.285 40 HRs 110 RBIs may not be out of reach from T-Rex this year.

I don't see this as a realistic expectation, but he is that kind of talent. Eventually he will be that kind of player, but I'd say he'll have a year like Hank Blalock did last year, with maybe 5 more HRs.

One of the things I am worried about are his Ks. I haven't really seen him play to much but from what I read he is a free swinger. His average was like .250 or something like that last year right??

It was .259. He also had 120 strikeouts to 44 walks.

Heard an interesting Tex interview on the radio here in Dallas last week. He said that his batting average and number of strikeouts last year were completely unacceptable to him and that he had spent his offseason working on improving in both categories. He sounded genuinely disgusted when he talked about striking out that much.

Might not make much difference, but this is a guy who is at least trying to fix his K problem. Judging by his track record I would say he will certainly improve over last year, but I wouldn't think he would hit 40 homers. 35 - maybe, 30 - likely and 30 isn't bad for a third baseman you can draft as late as him.

I would go with Tex. I am concerned with some of the minor ailments he's had this spring training, though...
