I would not bet on Rodriguez getting over 400 at bats with the Rays this year.

I went and looked it up too. It's not great, but it's not as bad as Ender makes it out to be:

RHP: .278/.323/.430 - 34bb:149k
LHP: .269/.346/.514 - 45bb:100k

And an unsustainable .352 BABIP against RHP which when it regresses leaves him with around a .700 OPS. He is a negative in the field so he has to be a positive in the lineup to keep his job against RHP.

The ironic thing here is that I initially had Maddon, but then went back and changed it. :-B

Rodriguez sitting again today...I have him as my 2B in a deep league with MI...thinking about dropping him in favor of Bill Hall. :-/

If Utley wasn't on the shelf I wouldn't be in this position... :-C

Any deep sleepers at 2B to take a look at? Hall as my 2B just doesn't excite me, neither does S-Rod riding the pine several times a week...

I like Jose Lopez to have a bounceback. Since he's in Colorado (and he doesn't walk) he could be useful in fantasy (think .280 w/ 20HR) w/o being all that great in real life.

I actually think he could fit the bill, thanks for the tip. He doesn't have eligibility yet at 2B though, and I think he's playing 3B tonight. Can you clear up the PT/position situation? I'm not really familiar with the depth chart in Denver. ;-D

He should be starting at 2B most of the year (his defense there is fine), but with Stewart hurt they moved him over to 3B today (he started at 2B yesterday). So in a week or so he should be 2B eligible in Yahoo! leagues... it could be a month for those leagues that require 20 games for eligibility.

They like Eric Young Jr. so he might be up from AAA at some point, so if Lopez struggles for a few weeks they'll probably replace him with Young or Herrera.

Good stuff. Any other suggestions? I could also use a sleeper at SS, I have Hardy starting there... :-b
