Nishioka out with broken leg. Luke Hughes up.

Postby kimchi_chigae » Thu Apr 07, 2011 7:25 pm

Nishioka is out for a little while after breaking his leg today and there is some speculation that Luke Hughes will take over from him at 2B. He has been called up.

Hughes was a decent prospect a few years ago, but has somewhat faded last couple of years. He had a monster spring and has good power potential.

Worth keeping and eye on in deep leagues.

Feel bad for Nishioka. Seems like a good kid.
It sounds like he's going to be missing a significant portion of time.

Hughes tore it up in spring training, i'm intrigued. Does anyone who will get most of the starts, Tolbert or Hughes?

Nice..I lost out on Nish in my minors dynasty draft but just scooped up Hughes for Chris Narveson (only grabbed him for a spot start).

I'm curious about this too. Thanks to Friday morning FAAB I was able to scoop up Hughes in my AL Only and I'm even contemplating starting him tonight if he is playing. My other options are Kearns and Kouzmanoff so why not roll the dice with the youngster with something to prove?

I decided not to draft Nishioka, so I dont really need to scoop up Hughes, but I grabbed Narveson for a spot start too.
