Ian Kennedy allowed one earned run, six hits and a walk while striking out in a win Friday, April 8, against the Cincinnati Reds. "Ian was dealing it, man," C Miguel Montero said. "He was throwing all kinds of pitches and he was throwing them for a strike. He was on, man, he was on."
:-]

I don't own Thornton, bud if i did, i would certainly back him up with Chris Sale after all of the slobbering the White Sox did over Sale this winter.
Matt Thornton allowed five unearned runs and four hits Friday, April 8, in a blown save and loss against the Tampa Bay Rays. Thornton needed 33 pitches to get through the appearance.

I do own Street and .. .. WTF?!?!?. It's April 8th. Here's a genius idea. Lets take our often injured closer out behind the barn a stick bullet or two in him!! ... What the hell are the thinking in Colorado??
Huston Street allowed just one hit and a walk in three scoreless innings of relief Friday, April 8, against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He needed just 27 pitches, working in the second-longest outing of his career.

I flipped too when I saw Street threw three innings, but it was only 27 pitches I calmed slightly.

Starting Harrison and Hudson today, anyone benching them?

I don't think I've ever quite taken the fantasy shaft quite as bad as I did last night in a points league where I started Lilly and Richard against one another... Those schmucks would have pitched to a 0 - 0 tie and I would have raked in points, but instead I burned 2 of my remaining 6 starts on nothing. Need perfect games from Oswalt and Colby Lewis today, and one from Arroyo wouldn't hurt either since after them I don't get to start anybody on Sunday. Eff fantasy baseball.

Also, heading down to Citi Field tonight to see what is sure to be a pitchers dual between Capuano and Gorzelanny.

I'm starting Hudson, too early to play the spot start game unless they're the real back end guys of the rotation.

So far I've got Hudson in there too, but I could be talked out of it. Cincinnati is one tuff lineup.
