Verlander outpitched by Ogando, who was able to go 7 scoreless with 4 K's on only 79 pitches. Phew. :-° That sound you hear are the people who didn't believe in his first start adding him right quick.

Woops?

That was terrible advice, you made the correct call.

If you're not willing to start him against Tampa, who can't hit the broad side of a barn right now, who can you start him against? Might as well dump him in that case. BaseballMonster has Tampa as an easier start for pitchers right now even than Seattle, Minnesota, Atlanta, Oakland, and Houston.

Ok. I'm convinced. And I'm in last place, so I have no reason not to gamble. B-)

If you need production now, or in the short term, Kila is the easy choice. If you have a roster spot to hold a guy hoping for higher upside later, then sure. It's Belt. I don't think ANYONE would be surprised if BB spent some time in AAA in the near future. Not really a concern with KK.

Anyone get a chance to watch Ogando pitch? How does his stuff look and do you think he can keep it up? It's nice to start the H2H week off with Verlander and Ogando pitching for me. Not many K's but the 1.12 ERA and .62 WHIP help!
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

I just want to say that I'm annoyed that I have Bay, Longoria, Nishioka and now Zimmerman on my DL. Thanks to all the banged up dudes, Chris Getz just showed up in my starting line up. Feeeehhhh

Getz is better than all of those guys anyways.
