ya that AB was pretty impressive. he fouled a lot of pitches off and then smoked a ball down in the zone.

Thinking John Farrell isn't cut out for this whole managing deal. Intentionally walking the winning run is something you've got to avoid in the 9th.

in his defense it was ichiro up with luis rodriguez (lol) on deck and he didn't walk him intentionally until the count was already 2-0.

I don't care if it was Albert Pujols who was up, you still don't put the winning run on base and allow him to move into scoring position. The percentage play there is just pitching to Ichiro, even at 2-0.

If it was 2001-2004 Bonds, maybe I'd accept a IBB.

The government was virtually forced to go after Clemens, who loudly denied allegations of drug use by his former trainer during a Congressional hearing
for years it was so obvious too. there are any number of old Bonds threads where i would point out that the media wouldn't even ask Roger the friggin question. It wasn't until they were smacked in the face with the accusations, that the powers that be began pointing their ink stained fingers at Roger.
Even to this day, you rarely see anything about steroids and pitchers, even though over half the people busted for PED's have been pitchers. its still considered a drug for power hitters.
