The Moose losing value quickly.

Mussina will be fine

Postby Ry-Guy » Wed Apr 07, 2004 12:24 am

It's early; Mussina will be fine. He'll have no problem winning over 16 games. Stick with the Moose or trade for him if some foolish owner is willing to get rid of him.

I'll probably trade for Moose in at least one of my leagues now. I love it when a guy gets shelled by a last place team in his first two starts. I could probably get him for Victor Zambrano ;-D

A guy in our league is really moody and a NY fan. He's got the patience of Steinbrenner I guess because he made 2 mistakes:

1. Posting a message that said he would "unload Moose for almost ANY starter."
2. Traded him to me straight up for Glavine.

I am happy. ;-D

That was me up 2 posts ago.

And it's not a joke league. It's 10 solid guys, but 1 get's really impatient. Especially when it comes to his Yankees.

::cough joke league:: ignorance at its finest... some yankee fan he is if he gives up on the moose after 2 starts... i have the moose and watched those games too, but i'm still treating moose as a potential 20 game winner.

hmmm.... perhaps what Mussina has done is reminiscent of what another starter did last year by starting 0-2. You probably remember him dont you? Because 18 or 19 straight wins later he was some CY Young winner named Roy Halladay. Please dont give away Mussina, I beg of you. And if you dont have him, here is your last shot because after next start you'll never have another one. Quote me on that if you like.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

A good way of winning at fantasy baseball is to pick up on the cheap guys that are rashly dsicarded becasue of a weak start. Mussina is good for 33 starts, you are going to dump him based on 6% his starts? I am going to go try to trade for him right now and hope the guy that has him in my league is equally dumb. He is one of the most consistent players there is, and he will turn in another top 10 season when all is said and done.
