5 K's in 4 IP. Only 2 hits allowed. Could he be back to his all-star form? Wonder if he'd be worth picking up for starts outside of Texas.

Edit: Just ruined his time in the sun.

Well, he's pitching in Oakland at a pitcher's ballpark against a horrible offense...he did pitch well in LA a couple of years ago.

pitching against the A's in Oakland... the signs are good but i won't jump on the bandwagon quite yet
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

5 Ks and 1 BB thus far. Pretty darn good, but, yeah, I'm still skeptical.

Even though it's sorta early...if he goes the distance against Mulder I may just have to pick him up.

I just picked him up coz i already have 5 other starters. I think I will see how he does in the next game, and decide if i should start him.

I'd put Tanyon Strutze in my starting lineup if he were pitching against the A's in the Coliseum. I wouldn't put too much stock into what Chan Ho is doing........but at least he's showing he has SOME talent left. Heck, he might even earn all the money he's making.............nah :-b

Not bad at all. Was hitting 92 on the gun and his pitches had good movement. Made one mistake to Dye or his line would have been even better.

I got burned and drafted him his first year in Texas, kept him on my radar ever since, but I'm still scared to pick him up just yet....

i cant believe I get to say this but, dont be scared Madison. This guy could chuck the ball a while back. Starting him against the right teams is critical but as I said on another thread, think John Thomson with more K's. If you put him against the right team you will see good results. The Blue Jays? no. The Yankees? certainly not. But the AL central and the AL west minus the angels looks like a green light. Maybe, just maybe, he's a good back-end rotation guy.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.
