Start two pitchers who are pitching head-to-head???

What are everyones thoughts on starting two pitchers who are pitching against each other?? I think it is very dangerous, but for some reason I still do it.

It depends on the pitchers. I mean, if it's Pineiro vs. Halladay, that may not be the wisest idea. However, if it's two dependable pitchers (Halladay vs. Mussina) I would do it.

i posted this in the Who to Start forum, but since you asked, I;m thinking about Mussina vs. Buehrle.

Only real problem with starting two pitchers going H2H is you can't get two wins. That being said, you have a high chance of getting 1 win.

It doesn't carry the risk of say your starting QB going against your starting DEF. :-b I've started two SPs facing off before, depends a lot on matchup.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Unless you're desperate for W's at the end of a H2H week or something like that, you just ask yourself if you'd start pitcher A against B's team and B against A's team regardless of whose fantasy team A & B are on. If the answer to both questions is "yes" then start them both.
