That's what the Twins thought in 2001. Then Hawkins got more BB's than K's (39 BB's, 36 K's), and had an ERA of 5.96 in 62 games. Borowski is a better closer. He was almost flawless last year.

I used Beck as an example because he always put the tying run on third before getting the save, the original poster was complaining how Borowski gave him a heart attack before he got the save. And I was pointing out that Beck did it much more frequent and everyone got much closer to death before the save. Although he was effective. But that wasn't the point.

Hey I know I'm OLD and all, but The Cubs have had that long before Beck. Let us not forget the likes of LEE SMITH, Mitch Williams, Mel Rojas, Need I go on?
