Palmeiro or D. Ortiz - who is better?

Postby jmintert » Sat Apr 10, 2004 3:14 pm

Ortiz had a great year last year and is in a good lineup, but Palmeiro has been unbelievably steady over the years. Some are predicting that Baltimore will hurt his numbers some.

Who do you think will have the better year? I currently have Ortiz and am considering whether I should pursue Palmeiro.

Although Raffy is better, I wouldn't actively pursue him, since he's playing for the Boston Mashers.

Agreed, Ortiz is for real. He's just getting into his prime ala Beltran and maybe last year was just the starting point to what he can do. I can tell you he missed 2 home runs against Baltimore by maybe a combined 4 feet. So so close. He's awesome.

I'd rather have Ortiz, Plameiro is solid, but is definatley on the backend of his career. Ortiz is peaking.
