Are we talking ever, or just since people have been playing Fantasy baseball. Best ever, I'd guess that Ruths first few as an outfielder with so many more homeruns, rbis, etc than his competition would be the best. However, I don't think anyone played fantasy baseball before 81,82 or so. Then I'd say Pedro in 99 would be the winner.

Denny McLain '68 would have to be up there.

One of the ESPN writers did this and put a lot of time into it. He had like the top 20 fantasy seasons ever, not just by overall numbers, but you had to consider how the performance was versus players at the time. I'll see if I can find it again.

Pedros 00 was actually his best year, and maybe the best pitching season ever. His era+ was the best ever, and its the only season a pitcher was 3 runs under league era avg. Pedro earned $54 in 00. Bonds 01 was 2nd only to Ruth in real bb, but in fantasy Vlads last year at $52 was highest i can recall for a hitter.

Bonds year in 2001 has to be up there somewhere. His home runs, walks, slugging pct, and on base pct. were off the charts.
