id rather have padilla although it seems like the phillies score 1 run a game whenever he pitches.

I like both of them, but I prefer Peavy. The big reasons are that he's younger with more room to grow, and he's more of a K pitcher.

looking at the stats a little closer, peavy has a career 7.5 k/9 and padilla has 6 k/9. padilla's eras the last 2 seasons are 3.28 and 3.62. a lot of people don't realize that. id take padilla because he is much more proven at this point.

Both are great pickups that get overlooked, but i like Peavy better. And if Petco remains a pitchers park then that can't hurt him right? :-)

seriously he is young and jus gonna get better and better.

PEAVY! he has shut down Barry twice, even if he did walk him like 3 times the last time, but the game b4 he pitched against him he went at him and kept him to only a single i believe. He's got electric stuff, and very young.

put me down for peavy. Padilla still has problems keeping his emotions in check and is more likely to get torched on given days while Peavy seems like he has the upside of a true ace.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

I drafted Peavy over Padilla and didn't think twice about it. ;-)
