Anybody know when Jose Reyes is gonna come back. Is he worth a spot on my bench while he recovers?

"You'll still have to wait another week before activating Jose Reyes, as he's still struggling with his comeback from ankle and hamstring injuries."

That's from Yahoo today. He's played in the minors this past week, went 0-3 with a walk. It depends on your roster if you want to pick him up or not. In all but the most shallow leagues, he's worth a roster spot IMO.

I don't think he's worth a spot at SS in shallow leagues (as in my 7-team league, in which I got Cabrera in the 2nd last round) but he is definitely worth a roster spot in all leagues as a 2nd Baseman. But, I'll just have to be patient and play Placido Polanco in the meantime until 15 games after Reyes' return!

7 team league? isn't it just an all star league then?

In any serious league, Reyes is worth at least a bench spot.

Yes; we were supposed to have 9 guys but 2 pussied out at the last moment. It's different - harder than you think actually because you have to pick the best of the best. Also, I resrticted bench spots (only 4) so it makes it really difficult in terms of picking up and holding onto good players. For example, Derek Jeter is sitting on the FA market, as is Griffey, Hideo Nomo, Randy Wolf, etc. If you are thinking why do I not pick up these guys it is because I have no room for them! It's also a lot of fun to watch your players because it is an all-star team. I'm in another 13-team league and I don't really care about how Sean Burroughs does, as opposed to Eric Chavez in my 7-team league.

well i dunno how hte hammy will effect this, but i was hoping for something like .280/10/65/30 from him. the steals were the main part.

i've got him and berroa on DL in one league with jack wilson holding the position for a little while, so i think that one way or another or another i hopefully will be ok.

Of course he is. He is capable of hitting .300 bagging 25 to 40, and getting a ton of runs. Why are people so impatient. He will play soon. Its only 4 weeks into the season. He will be ss and 2b eligable. He is also a great bait for trades.

I got Brett Boone at 2B... A-Rod @ SS and Lowell at 3B... should I replace any of these players with Reyes, since A-Rod can play SS and 3B.. Reyes= 2B and SS..i think he'll just be my backup infielder
