Schmidt This Week 2, 1, or ZERO

Postby The Natural99 » Mon Apr 26, 2004 12:53 am

Schmidt is posted to go twice this week. I am a little gunshy after his last performance. I think I will sit him the first start if he looks like himself I give him the ball for the second start.

What do you think? 1, 2 or Zero???? ;-D :-t :-? :-? :-?

Well as a Schmidt owner I am hoping two. In a 12-man H2H he is my ace so I doubt I bench him under any circumstances.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Play him every start. He's an awesome pitcher - you drafted him for his full year numbers, so why risk missing a quality start by sitting him?
He's too good a pitcher to ride anybody's bench, until a compelling reason dictates so (not fully recovered from surgery, etc.). Right now it is too premature to assume anything other than a slow start...

I think its just a slow start as well, remember Schmidt is behind from the DL stint so hes probably just getting adjusted. Before his last start he said he felt great but just didnt hit his spots.
