Oliver Perez, Turning the Corner?

Post by SoxFanPJ »

20.2 IP 2 Wins 0 Loses 22K's 1.74ERA 0.92 Whip

Always had high Strikeout potential, but seems to be pitching better overall so far.

Do you think he will keep it up?

i personally don't think he will be able to. Im guessing he might end up the season 10-10 with 150 ks. I think if he had better run support he might post more wins. His 2 wins this season did come against the reds.

The Reds are off to a good start though. 11-7 2nd in the central. I think getting his 2 wins against the reds would be a good thing, especially throwing a complete game shut out. Check this thread for lots of talk about him...

I'm one of the people who believe he is a stud in the making who just needed to get bettter command (which so far he has). But the previous post makes a good point, run support will be something not given to him in abundance.
