Matchups

Postby JRM4833 » Mon Apr 26, 2004 4:20 pm

Are there any good websites or threads for pitching matchups? Im looking for a somewhat easy (and less time-consuming) way to plan out my pitching rotations. Are there any stadiums other than Coors that really make you think twice about starting a pitcher? Any lineups other than Boston/NY? Any help on the subject would be appreciated.

Yankees, Red Sox, Rangers, Blue Jays, Astros, Cardinals have good lineups.

In LA, Det, SF, and Oakland are pretty good parks to pitch in. San Diego's new park seems to play toward pitchers too.

Minute Maid and The Ballpark in Arlington, are tough to pitch in.

I don't think the Jays should be as feared anymore as first anticipated.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

I didn't say fear the Jays, just that they have a good lineup. ;-)

In response to your root question, finding a site for matchups isn't easy. The best I have found is cbssportsline.com

Go to the daily schedule and use the Probable Pitchers link on the left side. From there, you can see pitchers vs. hitters lifetime and this season.

If anyone knows of a better site, let us all know - please!

Thanks Rolen and JP. Both sites with very helpful info. Still learning the art of who to bench and who to start.
